Last week, a cheeky Facebook video tipped off craft beer buffs to the opening of Largo's second microbrewery.
The hashtag "#comingsoonish," followed by the words "today is soonish," flashed across the minute-long clip posted to the page of Arkane Aleworks July 1, essentially announcing the new brewery's soft opening.
Founded by Joe Scheibelhut and Dan Graston, Arkane has since expanded its tasting room hours at 2480 E. Bay Drive. The brewery plans to operate 3 to 10 p.m. Sunday and Thursday, and 3 p.m. to midnight Friday and Saturday, until its official opening.
Those who stop in will choose from tap list offerings that range from malty to sour, including the It's Gonna be UUUGE! (a dark wheat beer), Skinny DIPA and Summer Wheat Ale. Most of the brews are eligible for growler fills, and there's also wine.
"When is the GRAND Opening???" one Arkane Facebook fan asked July 2.
"Soonish."
