This week, Arkane Aleworks plans to tap into an emerging style of IPA. Brut IPAs are inspired by brut, the driest type of Champagne, but the Largo brewery prefers to refer to its new beer, Brut Force, as a sparkling IPA.
The uber-drinkable and refreshing Brut Force hits the Arkane tasting room Wednesday. It's brewed with some of the boldest fruit-forward hops available, including Mosaic, Galaxy and Vic Secret.
And good thing, too — because the beer, focusing on hop aroma and flavor rather than bitterness, also takes inspiration from the popular, hazy New England-style IPAs that've infiltrated the category as of late.
"We're proud to share this beer as our first take on the style and look forward to brewing more in the future," said Arkane, which celebrates its second anniversary next month, in an email. "We think craft beer lovers will be excited to try a brand new take on the iconic IPA!"
