Cigar City Brewery's Cucumber Saison tastes like fresh cucumber slices, marinated in floral sweetness. This could be the perfect brew for combating brutal Florida summers. Saisons are farmhouse beers, traditionally brewed in the winter months for summer consumption. Most flavors are fruity, slightly sweet, and herbal. Cucumber Saison is light and fresh, but not wimpy. The boys at the tasting bar Tuesday were buying it up by the case. Supplies are limited. In fact, Cigar City really ran out on Sunday, only hours after announcing the beer was officially for sale. The last shipment was about to leave for the airport, when some beer-loving soul pleaded in the name of local beer love. Cigar City acquiesced and now a few precious bottles sit in the cooler, awaiting loving homes. Bottles are $12 each.
