But don't freak out, mini doughnuts will always have a place on the menu.
"We want to be a food place with mini doughnuts, rather than a mini doughnut shop with food," Owner of LDH, Stephen Schab says explaining why the urge to rebrand into Take Three Cafe.
In September the menu will begin to add more breakfast and lunch bites like mac 'n' cheese, flatbreads, soups and ramped up versions of current sandwiches and salads.
"People want more, and we want to meet that need." Schab has had that mentality from the beginning of Little Donut House; after just eight months of business as a mini doughnut proprietor, he added breakfast items to the menu which was an instant hit.
"Then we thought, why stop there?"
Last summer the shop added lunch items, and this past February Schab had the itch to take it a step further.
"Nobody wants to say 'let's go to Little Donut House for lunch,' the name is misleading. That's what the name change is for," he explains.
Schab is passionate about wanting to feed people more than when they have a sweet tooth. Once Take Three Cafe is up and running, customers will be able to choose one item of their choice or create their own combo meal by choosing three items for a better deal.
By mid-September, Schab will be rolling out the new menu items, and switching up signage. A grand "opening" event will take place in October.
Until then, Little Donut House will be running regular hours weekdays 6:30 a.m.-3 p.m., weekends 8 a.m.-3 p.m.
