Limited-edition Six Ten Brewing beers are getting served up around the bay for 6/10 Day.

The numbers six and 10 hold a special significance for Six Ten Brewing owners Leslie and Chris Johnson. The beloved craft brewery's name is a nod to the couple leaving behind their 9-to-5 corporate IT jobs, which they did before opening in Tampa three years ago.

In observance of the Johnsons' favorite day of the year, 6/10 Day, a beer-loaded tasting room celebration is planned from 2 to 10 p.m. Saturday. Tampa-based Holy Hog Barbecue is in the house with food (that's between 5:30 and 8:30 p.m.) alongside a tap list of some limited-edition Six Ten brews — the 611 Neapolitan Porter, 612 Bourbon Barrel Aged Barleywine, 613 Red Velvet White Stout and Butterfinger CBGB included.

There's also a 3 p.m. release of 613 in 22-ounce bottles, which cost $12 and are limited to two per person, in store. But those aren't the only festivities 6/10 Day is set to bring. Other local taprooms and breweries are getting in on the fun.

Head to Tampa's Pour House for rare, to-be-announced Six Ten offerings. The Independent Bar and Cafe is also tapping the brewery's aforementioned specialty releases in Seminole Heights, as is Odessa's Bells Tap and Tavern, Largo's Willard's Tap House and Lowry Parcade & Tavern in Tampa.

The Ale and the Witch, Stein & Vine, Mr. Dunderbak's, Dunedin House of Beer and In the Loop Brewing are celebrating the occasion, too, and so should you.
