The Lounge at Cassis — in conjunction with that so-not-Florida chill in the air and the observation of January as National Hot Tea Month — will start offering the midday food tradition next week from 2 to 5 p.m. Monday through Thursday.
The service spotlights fresh takes on classic white, green, oolong and black teas, alongside herbal infusions, rooibos and specialty blends. Guests can look forward to light bites from the American brasserie’s regular menu and a lineup of goods (think biscuits and scones) made at its next-door bakery.
“Given Cassis’s European heritage and in-house bakery, we see an untapped opportunity to bring proper afternoon tea service to downtown St. Pete,” said chef Jeremy Duclut in a statement. “Much of our selection has inherent health benefits, making them an ideal counterpart to personal New Year’s goals.”
