This month, the Georgia-based Marlow's Tavern is set to introduce its chef-inspired American eats and craft cocktails to Tampa's Village Center at 13134 N. Dale Mabry Highway. And with it, the restaurant's comfortable setting plans to encourage patrons to stay awhile.
Folks can expect covered patio seating, booths and large communal tables alongside decor elements like black-and-white photographs, exposed brick and dark wood. On the food side, elevated tavern classics — including a shrimp and crab nacho plate — will rotate seasonally, as the cocktail list incorporates fresh juices, small-batch spirits, bitters and aperitifs. Bottled, canned and draft brews and global wines by the glass or bottle will also be showcased.
As its grand premiere, scheduled for 11:30 a.m. Sept. 29, gets closer, Marlow's is collaborating with Tampa's Metropolitan Ministries. Proceeds from the opening events will benefit the the charity's food services programs.
