Tampa Heights' food and drink scene is popping off as of late, and has more concepts on the way.

Most recently, upscale Italian restaurant Rocca made its debut, Woven Water microbrewery is scheduled for early 2020, and now, we can expect the second location of Modern Irish pub Strandhill Public to open within the next three months.

The new pub sits at 309 W. Palm Ave., just around the corner from Armature Works. Owner, Rory Martin, is shooting for a late December/ early January opening.

Martin opened the first location in mid-August and celebrated with giving guests their first beer on the house. Fingers crossed that event is in the works for the Tampa Heights location.

Martin told CL he's been in the restaurant business since he was 12 years-old, so these concepts are passion projects, showcasing modern-day Irish culture while paying homage to traditional Standhill's kitchen serves up a variety of salads, burgers and other traditional Irish dishes like beef stew, shepherd's pie, or bangers and mash.

Other bar bites are also available like wings, mussels and Strandhill's six-minute Irish egg wrapped in house-seasoned ground pork, panko-fried and topped with pickled red peppers and hollandaise sauce.

Until then, you can get a taste of the pub at the first location stationed at 10288 Causeway Blvd. in Tampa. Cheers to more booze coming to Tampa Heights.
