Want your lunch or sofa snack delivered? Uber's got you.
The popular ride-share service will launch its food delivery offshoot, UberEATS, in Tampa Bay at 8 a.m. Wednesday, bringing a selection of 75-plus local restaurants to Tampa doorsteps with the tap of a screen. All customers have to do is download the UberEATS mobile app.
Miguelitos Taqueria Y Tequilas, Ciccio Water, Ava, Mini Doughnut Factory, Caffeine, Taco Bus, Chakana SoHo, Piquant, Noble Rice, Drama Burger, Holy Hog Barbecue, Cafe Hey, Fabrica Woodfired Pizza, California Tacos To Go, Bella's Italian Café, Datz and La Segunda Central Bakery are among the participating restaurants.
In the coming weeks, UberEATS, which charges a $4.99 delivery fee on top of the menu prices each restaurant sets, has plans to expand into other Bay area locations. The delivery service is already offered in major cities like Austin, Philadelphia, Seattle, San Francisco and New York.
