Husband and wife team Robert Sickler and Yari Ramos are adding to the to-do list on Tampa’s Davis Island when their natural wine bar and tapas restaurant Bayou Bodega opens on April 20.

The spot—located at 241 E Davis Blvd.—will serve natural wines from several countries including France, Italy, Portugal, Spain, and Czech Republic as well as international beers, meads, and ciders along with stock from locals like St. Petersburg’s Green Bench Brewing. Bayou Bodega’s alcohol-free options include teas, juices, house-made cold brew, and a traditional Oaxacan chocolate, which is served either hot or cold.

“I love that when I drink natural wine I’m consuming a living product that has no pesticides, fungicides, herbicides, synthetic fertilizers, and excessive sulfates,” said Ramos in a press release.

Pair one of your drinks with a variety of tapas like garlic shrimp with manzanilla, crawfish mac, roasted sirloin with house-made chimichurri, bread pudding with Caribbean fruit, or Bayou Bodega’s po-boy sandwich with Serrano ham, garlic shrimp, Manchego cheese, and roasted piquillo peppers layered between bread from local legend La Segunda. Some foods like bottles of Spanish olive oil and Oaxacan chocolate, mole nego, raw honey, and single estate coffee are also available for purchase.

Once officially open, grab a drink and food Wednesday-Friday 5 p.m.-midnight, Saturdays 2 p.m. to midnight, and Sundays 2 p.m.-9 p.m.
