St. Pete just got a new coffee shop and bakery, a spot perfect for the caffeine connoisseur and the local-conscious shopper.

Crislip Cafe, located inside The Merchant at 645 Central Ave., has just opened and is ready to serve the city local cafe goods and specialty drinks.

On top of its locally-roasted coffee selection, Crislip is offering bagels from Bella’s Bakes Cakes and Bagels, waffles from Pop Goes the Waffle and a variety of pastries and baked goods from Southern Bay, Rumbles Bakery and Mana Bakery.

Featured on Crislip’s Instagram are “Purple Rain,” a lavender latte, “Voodoo Child,” an activated charcoal latte and “Cafe Bombon,” an espresso drink topped with whipped cream and dark chocolate.

The cafe also boasts a wine and local craft beer bar, alongside a cheese and charcuterie menu that will be debuted this fall.

Built in the 1920s, St. Pete’s Crislip Arcade—which this cafe's name references—stands as one of the few historic open-air shopping malls left in the city. In its past almost 10 decades in St. Pete, the arcade remains a spot for local small businesses, art galleries and eateries.
