Riverview no longer has to travel to Tampa or St. Petersburg to get its Cheesy Todd fix. On May 14 at 3 p.m. the local restaurant that has no problem making dummy thicc one-pound meatballs is opening a new location at 11146 Winthrop Market St.

To comply with Gov. Ron DeSantis’ phase one reopening order, the location will operate at 25% capacity for dine-in. To-go ordering is available, too.

“As you all can imagine, this isn’t exactly the Grand Opening we were planning for but we are SUPER excited nonetheless,” Datz wrote on social media.

Creative Loafing Tampa Bay reached out to Datz’s PR team to get hours for the new store.

Last week, Datz reopened its locations in Tampa and St. Petersburg at 25% capacity. During the quarantine, the stores sold cakes shaped like Toilet paper and even sold off a 25-year-old Pappy Van Winkle Whiskey for $40,000 (Datz was asking $20,000, but a philanthropist bought it for double the price to benefit employees).

The Riverview Datz is opening in the parcel last occupied by Eats! American Grill.
