Nirvana for Tampa Bay wine lovers and bookworms arrives next month on the 600 block of downtown St Petersburg when bookstore, wine bar, and peaceful gathering space all in one—Book + Bottle—opens its doors at 17 6th St. N. in a few weeks.

Although there is no official grand opening date, Book + Bottle is hosting its first event on March 18, when St. Petersburg author Kristin Harmel discusses her latest book, the aptly-titled novel “The Winemaker’s Wife.” This gathering, titled “Read Between the Wines," ends with a champagne toast and a book signing.

There will be various types of literary events in the Book + Bottle space, like author spotlights, workshops, children’s story time, and book club meetings.

Over the last few months, Book + Bottle has been giving St. Pete a taste of its book and wine selection at different markets throughout the area. Owner Terra Dunham and her Book + Bottle team held down a table at last weekend’s massive Localtopia event where they auctioned off a raffle basket stuffed with wine, coffee, candles, tote bags alongside other Book + Bottle swag.

When Book + Bottle opens its doors in a few weeks, its hours will be 10 a.m.-8 p.m. Tue..-Thu., 10 a.m.-10 p.m. Fri. -Sat., and 10 a.m.-6 p.m. Sun.

Keep up with Book + Bottle on Instagram for updates on events, tentative hours, and wine menu.
