New fast casual restaurant Jay & Luigi–the product of a new business partnership between Ciccio Restaurant Group (CRG) and Forbici’s co-founder Jason Brunetti–is opening its first location in St. Pete at 3201 4th St. North.

Located at a spot that was formerly a Burger 21, the Italian trattoria-style pizzeria will offer modern and traditional fare with pastas, salads, small plates, cauliflower rice bowls, and two types of pizza–New York and Roman-style aka pizza al taglio. Plant-based options are a big focus on the menu.

Set to open in July, the location is the first of many restaurants launched by the new Italian division of CRG with Brunetti and his team which includes Forbici’s former executive chef Jason Saldutti and former director of operations Norma Elizalde.

CRG is currently expanding its Fresh Kitchen brand plus runs several other concepts including Water & Flour, Taco Dirty, Sweet Soul, Better Byrd, On The Fly, Cali and Luv Child.
