Located at 1001 E Cumberland Ave. in the heart of Water Street Tampa, high-end Mediterranean restaurant Predalina will open on Wednesday, July 5, and its patient patrons can make reservations on its website starting next week.
“Prepare to indulge in extraordinary flavors, unmatched ambiance, and impeccable service,” Predalina says in today's opening announcement.
The upcoming restaurant specializes in "seafood-driven Mediterranean cuisine,” boasting entrees like seared scallops, lobster skewers and flank steak, in addition to small plates like smoked hamachi crudo, pan-seared greek cheese and a mushroom flatbread loaded with black truffle, caramelized shallots, pomegranate molasses and kefalograviera, a popular Mediterranean hard cheese.
Predalina will offer a variety of different dining experiences from weekend brunch, and lunch and dinner—folks can browse the restaurant’s many menus on predalina.com.
Predalina's opening was announced last spring, with plans to offer a small retail and decor section in addition to its full-service restaurant. Its website states that its retail area will sell "hand-crafted wares, unique home decor and special gifts."
This upcoming Water Street restaurant is the latest eatery from Oxford Commons, a local hospitality group behind other Tampa concepts like Oxford Exchange, The Library, social club Stovall House and the Current Hotel. Owners of Oxford Commons, Blake Casper and Alison Casper Adams, sold all of their family's franchised McDonald's locations back to the fast food company last year.
Trump mega-donor Blake Casper—who claims to be worth upwards of $334 million dollars— ran for Tampa City Council District 4 earlier this year but lost in the general election to Bill Carlson.
