North Hyde Park was supposed to get its newest globally-inspired bistro in January, but it looks like Tampa Bay foodies will have to wait a few more months, as Rome + Fig is now looking at an April opening.
A Rome + Fig representative told CL that, “according to our contractor it shouldn't be much longer, which means hopefully we will open in April.”
Rome + Fig has already posted its entire menu on its website, so you’ll know exactly what to order when it opens its door this spring. There’s a tinge of Asian-fusion elements throughout the globally-inspired offerings. Some appetizers include tuna tartare, Asian-style wings, octopus fritters, lumpia (traditional Filipino egg rolls) and bison meatballs.
Entree options include various cuts of steak, seafood risotto, pan seared scallops and lamb chops, alongside lighter soup and salad options.
Rome + Fig's design elements are inspired by rustic Napa Valley bistros and Coastal Florida chic. Diners can choose to be seated out on the turf patio, or in the open-kitchen dining room, to the watch meals be prepared by Chef Rob Scott (pictured, right) and his team.
