Tampa Bay’s newest food trailer (like a food truck, but towed by a truck instead) El Trailer de Tampa Bay is celebrating its grand opening on March 1 in a big way—with whole roasted pigs.
Currently located in the parking lot of Joe Haskin’s Bike Shop at 2310 N Florida Ave. in Tampa, El Trailer’s typical, to-go fare includes fresh pork, chicken and crab empanadas, cubans and pork sandwiches. At next month’s grand opening, you can purchase special roasted pig by the pound, accompanied by white rice and black beans.
The event runs from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m., but you might want to get there early, because El Trailer de Tampa Bay’s small-batched meals sell out fast. El Trailer’s menu changes daily, so visit up its Facebook page to keep an eye out for your favorite specials.
El Trailer has been parked in the Joe Haskin's parking lot for a while now, but it's also had short stints at other spots in Tampa, like at the Twistee Treat lot at 6900 Hanley Rd. and the cigar bar Casa de Montecristo at 1418 E Busch Blvd.
You can also special order a roasted pig from El Trailer de Tampa Bay for your next party or event if you want to freak out your vegan relatives— just shoot an email to eltrailer2018@gmail.com.
