Valrico’s newest place for comfort food and craft beer is gearing up to launch Sept. 15. In the building where Latino’s Fresh Market most recently operated, Comfort Craft Café, whose tagline is “Where Comfort is Crafted,” is in the works at 1608 State Road 60.

In addition to cold beer and “comfort food on steroids,” according to the restaurant and event venue’s Facebook page, wines (homemade sangria among them), a 1,100-square-foot covered deck and patio bar, and live music are in store.

Comfort Craft Café, which plans to host several themed nights as well as special events, will also function as a go-to spot for Tampa Bay Buccaneers watch parties, as it is billed as the official home of the Buccaholics fan group’s Florida chapter. Highlights include games shown on a huge video screen, Bucs-inspired drinks, and brunch service for 1 p.m. Sunday games.
