Opening at 5214 N. Nebraska Ave in the former Sabroso Cuban location, the appropriately named Sandwich House will soft open tomorrow, August 13, with a limited menu and limited operating hours.
The new breakfast and lunch spot will focus on locally sourced goods from familiar names like Birds of a Feather Coffee Company, Mammoth Foods, St. Pete Ferments, and more. Of course, guests can also expect a variety of breads from Gulf Coast Sourdough.
“We are so excited to open The Sandwich House,” said Christina Cann, Co-Founder and CEO of Gulf Coast Sourdough in a statement. “The Tampa Bay community has supported Gulf Coast Sourdough for more than four years now and we are so pleased to have a home base where we can connect with them more often!”
The menu is both vegan and omnivore-friendly, and features goodies like sourdough cinnamon rolls, fresh salads, hummus, signature Flybys, and custom Tampa-style pressed sammies.

It's the foundational flavor layer of a sandwich — literally the first thing that hits your taste buds — and can enhance or detract from the entire sandwich experience in profound ways. Any sandwich or toast can be extraordinary when it’s on the best bread.”
The Sandwich House will be open Tuesday through Saturday, 7 a.m. to 3 p.m.
