Launched to the Tampa area back in October, Postmates is now at the fingertips of hungry St. Petersburg residents.

The on-demand delivery service, based in San Francisco, entered the St. Pete market Thursday. And for those who aren't familiar, Postmates is sort of a mashup of UberEATS and Shipt, because it transports food and drink from local restaurants (and fast-food joints), as well as goods from stores like Lowe's and Trader Joe's.

Orders are placed on the Postmates website or mobile app. Restaurants listed on the site include Banyan Cafe & Catering, Fray's Donut House, Ceviche, Meze 119, Stillwaters Tavern, The Burg Bar & Grill, La V, Brooklyn South, Castile, Ka'Tiki, and Hook's Sushi Bar & Thai Food.
