In St. Petersburg, Empire Oyster founder Kevin Joseph is prepared to present a smorgasbord of premium cold water oysters during the Sunshine City Oyster Social. Best part? The bivalves get paired with Pinellas Ale Works beer.

Guests in attendance can watch as Joseph shucks 15 to 20 varieties of East Coast and West Coast oysters from the U.S. and Canada live at the brewery from 5 to 8 p.m. Saturday.

Expect a lineup of accoutrements like sauces, dressings and other toppings, too.

Tickets are available online in advance, and there won’t be any at the door.
