To celebrate its reopening and new renovation Taco Bus’ original Hillsborough location is slinging 99-cent tacos all week long.
Beginning Monday, Nov. 9, and running all week long, you can slide to Taco Bus’ OG location at 913 E. Hillsborough Ave. in Tampa for your bargain tacos and check out the joint's renovated digs.
“We’ve invested close to $250,000 on a new state-of-the-art kitchen, ordering system, patio, and more!” stated Heather Chaudhry, Director of Marketing for Taco Bus in a statement. “New booths and tables, flooring, and fresh paint have also been added to really make it shine.”
Prior to renovations, the location had major screentime being featured on Guy Fieri’s Diners, Drive-ins and Dives where he claimed he ate, “The best torta I’ve ever had.” Might not hurt to snag a torta while you’re there, too, since the king of Flavortown vouched for it.
Other menu offerings include tostadas, burritos, quesadillas, nachos, chimichangas, empanadas, bowls and the signature El Jefe burrito weighing in at over two pounds loaded with your choice of protein, double rice and beans, cheese, sour cream and guacamole. Wowza.
If you can’t make it out for the week of buck tacos, the resto offers student and veteran discounts daily.
