In select Tampa neighborhoods, a new partnership is doing the booze run so you don’t have to.
ABC Fine Wine & Spirits and Drizly, a tech company that powers alcohol delivery around the U.S., have teamed up to make beer, liquor, wine and mixers just taps or clicks away starting Thursday.
As the state’s largest alcohol retailer, ABC allows consumers to shop for thousands of products and get their hauls delivered in less than an hour. Since the newly popular grocery app Shipt doesn’t transport alcoholic beverages, Drizly has you covered.
Folks near the ABC locations on West Kennedy Boulevard, North Dale Mabry Highway, West Hillsborough Avenue or West Gandy Boulevard should use Drizly’s website when ordering, or download its app for Android and Apple. Anyone who orders for the first time will receive $10 off a purchase of at least $25 with the promo code ABCDELIVERS, as well as free delivery for 30 days after an initial order.
“We continue to see incredible demand from high-end retailers that see on-demand e-commerce as a strategic part of their customer experience and future growth,” said Nick Rellas, CEO and co-founder of Drizly, in a statement.
Drizly operates in 17 markets, including New York City, Boston and Los Angeles, and the company’s Tampa partnership is its first in Florida. The goal is to expand statewide through next year.
