Before opening in February, Paul’s Landing dropped a little hint that movie nights on the nearby event lawn were among its future plans. And the Vinoy Renaissance St. Petersburg Resort & Golf Club newcomer wasn’t fibbing.

On April 19, Casablanca kicks off Cinema Peroni at Paul’s Landing — the outdoor film series confirmed for the Florida-inspired downtown restaurant. You know, since drafts of the Italian lager accompany the classic black-and-white flick and all.

Other highlights of the premiere showing include lounge seating, entertainment and games (think cornhole, giant Jenga and Yardzee) on the spacious lawn, located just off the restaurant’s patio. Plus, four chef-curated food stations, local beers and cocktails from the full-liquor bar.

Food and drink tickets, available at the door, range in price from $6 per beer to $12 for access to the food. There’s no official word yet on whether or not the cinema showcase will repeat monthly or otherwise. However, the recurring series does take place between 6:30 and 10 p.m., with the movie starting at 8 p.m.
