The list of Top Vegan Chicken Sandwiches of 2019 by PETA has been released, and Tampa Bay once again made the cut; thanks to Cider Press Café’s Buffalo Blue Cheez Chick-n Sandwich ranking amongst sandos from Los Angeles, Nashville and Las Vegas.
The article stated, “Cider Press mixes fine dining with a casual experience. Leave your taste buds black and blue after taking a delicious beating from this mouthwatering sandwich.”
Earlier this year PETA named two Tampa Bay vegan joints on the Top 10 Vegan Hot Dogs at Restaurants — one of which being Nah Dogs, which has quickly grown a cult following as it makes its cameos to events around Tampa Bay, and the other, an Orlando transplant called Dixie Dharma, holding down a stall at Armature Works.
Looks like Tampa Bay is stepping it up when it comes to plant-based bites.
“Today’s public is hungry for delicious vegan fare like The Cider Press Café’s spicy and succulent Buffalo Bleu Chick-n Sandwich,” says PETA Executive Vice President Tracy Reiman in a statement. “All the winners on PETA’s list soar high above old, meaty chicken sandwiches, which are basic, boring, and cruel to birds.”
