Ready to Rawk, downtown St. Pete? Local eaters in search of more plant-based fare have to wait a little longer, but their bellies can rest easy knowing the region’s second Rawk Star Cafe plans to open soon at 740 Central Ave.
The new franchise for Rawk Star Cafe — which was established in Oldsmar eight years ago — is part of the building that also houses the Chihuly Collection.
A popular haunt thanks to its flagship location, the cafe is known for doing raw, organic (and gluten-free) grub well — among them smoothies, wraps, salads, globally inspired dishes like rawghetti, and desserts.
Rawk Star Cafe St. Pete aims to premiere in late March or early April. According to signage on its door, the anticipated hours are 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Thursday, 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. Friday and Saturday, and 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday.
