Tampa Bay, cross your fingers, we might be getting a Shake Shack in this lifetime.

Keyword: "Might."

TBBJ says New York restaurateur Danny Meyer is looking to open another Shake Shake location in the Sunshine State, and adds that Midtown Tampa and downtown St. Petersburg could be in the running for becoming the home of a new location for the famous burger joint.

So what's all the fuss about? Shack Shake serves packed burgers like the SmokeShack which is a single or double cheeseburger topped with all-natural applewood smoked bacon, chopped cherry pepper and ShackSauce. Alongside the hefty burger selection, guests can grab chicken sandos, hot dogs, and fries (with or without cheese sauce). Shake Shack is also focused on serving desserts like frozen custards, floats, concretes and hand-spun shakes.

Earlier this year, Sarasota secured a location, which means fans have to take trip across the Skyway Bridge. It would be pretty convenient to have one in our own backyard.

The article continued to tease us with comments from Bromley Cos., a New York-based developer of Midtown, "Bromley Companies is having conversations with many potential tenants for Midtown Tampa and will provide details when leases are signed.”

Now we wait.
