What's a luxury beachfront resort that has everything — from a full marina to six restaurants on property — to introduce next? Mood cocktails, of course.
On the barrier island of Longboat Key off the coast of Sarasota, the Resort at Longboat Key Club has started featuring what it calls a mood cocktail menu — curated not by the on-site mixologist, but the "moodologist."
The resort's lineup of drinks, in line with what some have called a 2017 mood cocktail trend, are meant to stimulate certain moods and emotions in patrons. Take the cilantro-ginger cooler, which incorporates ginger for relaxation, or the Rock a Rita, whose yellow hue evokes friendliness.
Interesting, and kinda strange, but if you, like me, can get down with it, make the drive to Longboat Key and go check ’em out.
