The Florida State Fair wants you to keep your New Year’s resolutions of being healthy, but also wants you to tempt you with its deep-fried food. On February 15 at 7:30 a.m., the very first Deep Fried Dash 5K & Fun Run will happen throughout the fairgrounds.
Runners will embark on a route through the Florida State Fair, winding in-between roller coasters and vendor stands. The Deep Fried Dash participants will be greeted with the greatest prize of all at the finish line—a single corn dog.
Race registration is $35 until February 1, and admission to the Florida State Fair is free for all runners—so you can reward yourself with even more corn dogs.
All proceeds from the Deep Fried Dash will benefit the Florida State Fair Foundation, which helps support Florida State Fair agricultural, scientific, and educational programs.
