Think you can make the best key lime pie? Enter a recipe into the upcoming Key Lime Pie Contest, hosted at the Safety Harbor Public Library.
Limited to two pies per participant, entries should be delivered to the library between 3 and 6 p.m. Thursday alongside a completed entry form, which can be found online.
The competition is set to culminate at 6:30 p.m. through the Key Lime Pie Fiesta, complete with key lime pie samplings, beer and wine, and Florida-style tunes by local musician TJ Weger. During the tropical event, judges will also crown three Key Lime Pie Contest winners who will walk away with cash prizes starting at $100.
The fiesta has a $10 cover charge, and the proceeds will benefit the Safety Harbor Public Library Foundation's 20/20 Vision Capital Campaign to build a second-story meeting room facility. Pie contestants will receive free entry.
