We’re not far away from getting to slurp fresh oysters at Anchor and Brine at Tampa Marriott Water Street.

Located at 505 Water St., the hotel already holds Garrison Tavern where you can eat and play a little Zombie Dodgeball (read CL food critic Jon Palmer Claridge’s glowing review).

The rainy weather has prevented Anchor and Brine (no ampersand!) from opening sooner, but construction is wrapping up and we’re nearing the opening date.

The indoor-outdoor restaurant runs from the lobby area of Tampa Marriott Water Street to the outdoor patio, which, by the way, is laced with waterfront views.

The menu is seafood-focused created with fresh, local ingredients accompanied by cocktails featuring clear liquors specializing in sips like martinis, daiquiris and spritzes. If you can’t snag street parking or split an Uber, then just be prepared to valet your whip.

More details to come as the opening date is officially announced.
