There's a new Japanese sushi, noodle and sake bar on the horizon for Clearwater Beach residents and out-of-towners. Planned for an undisclosed location, the coming-soon Sekushi has been announced as the latest member of the Mad Chef family.

Mad Chef, for the uninitiated, is the Tampa-based full-service catering and consulting company led by Viet Vo, an accomplished chef who's cooked in kitchens all over the Bay area and helped open several others, including Tampa's Sushi Alive! and Souzou in St. Petersburg.

Last week, guests of CL's 11th annual Meet the Chefs got to rub elbows with Vo — he was in attendance repping the raw bar and grill at Tampa's International Plaza, Frankie's Lobstah Trap — and taste his virgin Bloody Marys topped with an array of fresh seafood.

Specifics on the location of Sekushi are to be announced closer to the opening, but any guesses?
