Last month, downtown St. Pete’s Wooden Rooster unveiled its plans to open a second location at Seminole City Center. Diners beyond the ‘Burg will soon have access to that casual lineup of house-made crêpes and sandwiches, salads and seasonal soups.

“Stay tuned for more updates!!” reads an Aug. 28 update posted to the cafe’s Facebook page.

Seminole City Center, formerly the Seminole Mall, is located at 11201 Park Blvd. N. The one-stop destination for shopping, dining and entertainment announced the new Wooden Rooster in its own Facebook post back in July. The cafe will join Seminole City Center’s existing lineup of restaurants, including barbecue spot Willie Jewell’s, Maple Street Biscuit Company and Frutta Bowls, an acai bowl purveyor.

The Wooden Rooster, for the uninitiated, debuted in St. Pete three years ago. The cafe uses fresh, seasonal ingredients — and sources organic produce when possible — to pull off crêpes for breakfast, lunch, dinner and dessert. Options like the Apple Melt (chicken or turkey, spinach, caramelized apple, Brie) mingle with coffee drinks, wines and craft beers.
