It’s a full circle for Bolay Fresh Bold Kitchen CEO and co-founder Chris Gannon, son of Outback Steakhouse founder Tim Gannon, when he brings his “craveable, nutritious, and nourishing” foods up from South Florida to Brandon.

A weeklong grand opening celebration at the new Bolay—located at 1544 W Brandon Blvd.—kicks off on May 11.

“We have had our eye on the Tampa Bay market for the last three years, and right now felt like the perfect time to jump in,” said Gannon in a press release. “To me, this feels like somewhat of a homecoming, a full circle moment. My father Tim created Outback Steakhouse in this town and to bring my very own concept to the region is a great source of pride for me. Brandon and St. Pete are exciting areas to begin our journey here on the Gulf Coast, and I can’t wait to see where else we can grow.”

The restaurants offer pre-made bowls and the opportunity for guests to come up with their own creations with plenty of gluten-free, vegan, and vegetarian options. Pair the bowls with a choice of juices, teas, agua frescas, and desserts.

“I’m extremely grateful for the opportunity to introduce our fresh, bold flavors to the Tampa Bay Area, starting first here in Brandon,” said Operating Partner Guillermo Novoa. “Our goal is to become a hub for inspiration, personal growth and development.”

The grand opening celebration runs through May 16 and offers a wide variety of events like scavenger hunts, giveaways, and $15,000 worth of complimentary “Bols” given out over the weekend. For those who can’t make the festivities, a pop-up sample shop will be in front of the restaurant April 24 from noon-2 p.m.

The 2,600-sq. ft. space offers guests the option of patio and dine-in seating. Curbside pickup and delivery are options too. Several COVID protocols will be in place for customer and employee safety including plexiglass dividers, social distancing markers, and sanitization every 30 minutes.
