Popular downtown Tampa sports pub Hattricks is opening a new second location in South Tampa.

As first reported by the Tampa Bay Business Journal, the restaurant’s parent company Slapshot Management Group recently signed a permit with the City of Tampa to open a new outpost at 4075 Henderson Blvd.

According to property records, Hattricks purchased the property for $425,000 in 2021. The lot was most recently home to Sun Country Cleaners, which has since been leveled to make way for the new sports bar.

No exact opening date has been released, but a representative from the company  told TBBJ the location hopes to open in the next six months.

Since debuting in 1997, the original Hattricks location, at 107 S Franklin St., has been a regular winner in the “Best Sports Bar” category of Creative Loafing’s annual Best of The Bay awards.

Known as a solid pre-game spot for Bolts fans, Hattricks features plenty of cold beers, TVs, and a strong Irish-leaning bar grub menu—spanning everything from wings (shake & bake style if you’re about it), burgers, shepherds pie and more.

According to past comments from ownership, Hattricks’ South Tampa location will have a limited menu, less seats and less TVs, all while focusing most on carryout and delivery.

A large, green-and-white sign in the foreground reads 'COMING SOON!' above the text 'Hattricks WINGS' in a stylized yellow script, with the 'Wallace Construction Group' logo below. The building behind the sign is a new, two-story structure featuring a mix of brickwork and dark-colored exterior panels. Large glass window frames are visible on the ground level, and the site is surrounded by dirt and construction materials under a bright, sunny blue sky with scattered white clouds.
