Another destination for fine wine, food and craft beer is joining the Ybor City Wine Bar family.
South Tampa Society Wine Bar has been quietly making progress at 3219 W. Bay to Bay Blvd., where Traveling Corks most recently operated, for a few months now. The place was originally shooting for a mid-December launch, but opening day is "getting very close," according to the Jan. 17 update posted to its Facebook page.
The new Society Wine Bar plans to carry 200 wines by the glass and 100 brews, in addition to small plates.
Ybor City Wine Bar owner Jayme Kosar — who took home the 2018 Best Sommelier award from CL's Best of the Bay — operates a second wine bar in Seminole Heights, making Society Wine Bar her third.
Grand opening details for Society Wine Bar are forthcoming, so keep an eye out.
