According to Southern Living, one of the South's best breakfast spots is headquartered in Tampa. Goody Goody, which the Columbia Restaurant Group revived and reopened at Hyde Park Village in August 2016, was recognized for its all-day breakfast in the magazine's recently rolled out November issue.

The popular burger joint joined 15 other restaurants that scored Southern Living nods for "redefining the morning meal" with everything from creamed chipped beef to chorizo con huevo. But it was the only Florida eatery named, which is pretty cool.

The magazine made it a point to shout-out Goody Goody favorites, including the signature Slinger (two patties layered with two over-easy eggs, home fries, chili, Cheddar and jalapeños) and Hangover (fresh biscuit split and topped with home fries, Cheddar, green onion, sausage gravy and two over-easy eggs).

Honorable mentions also went to the 12-inch pancakes, La Segunda Central Bakery's Cuban toast, cups of joe from Naviera Coffee Mills, and, of course, the pie.

"Everyone here eats a slice of pie for breakfast," Southern Living writes, "because that's what Goody Goody fans have always done."

Nice.
