By now, you've probably heard about Tampa's SpookEasy Lounge. It's that hidden hangout in Ybor City exclusively serving a menu of kava and kratom above The Stone Soup Company. There isn't any booze, which stinks, but pushing one particular tome from a seemingly ordinary bookcase to unlock the entrance of the bar is pretty neat.

Especially since Halloween is upon us.

The new SpookEasy Lounge celebrated its soft launch at 1919 E. Seventh Ave. in late September. However, the neighborhood's worst-kept secret will take its recent arrival a step further with a grand opening at 5 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 31, when costumed patrons can enjoy an hour of free hors d'oeuvres while supplies last.

Luckily for locals, more than 20 other bars and restaurants also have eerie events planned for Halloween. Check out this running list of where to ring in the most ghoulish occasion.

All events take place on Oct. 31 unless otherwise noted.
