St. Pete dessert bar, Swah-rey, which is stylized as "(swah-rey)," is staying busy. With two new locations in the works, owner, Leslie Ann Ciccone decided she also wanted to launch an app for online ordering.
"We have a purposeful mission to be the best desserts in the St. Petersburg/Tampa Bay areas, while also being the sweetest people serving them. With all small businesses, choosing how and where to spend our money can be a challenge," said Ciccone in a statement. "As our 4 year anniversary of our original (swah-rey) was approaching, we knew that having an App developed for us and our customers was our next step up, in customer service and convenience. We know that we have a unique product line of desserts that are made from scratch, decorated by hand to a jewel-like perfection and served fresh daily. We are truly excited that our customers will be able to order their favorite flavors of (swah-rey) desserts, at their convenience."
Customers will be able to place an order for pick-up at either of the two current locations. The app is set to launch Thursday, December 12. If you're an Andriod user, you'll have to wait, as the (swah-rey) app will release in iOS first. Online ordering can also be placed through the dessert bar's website at swah-rey.com or bit.ly/OrderSwahrey
By spring 2020, (swah-rey) is set to launch two more locations, which will also be linked to the app. The third location at St. Pete College, Gibbs Campus will debut March and fourth location in St. Pete projected for April/May. The address for the fourth location will be announced before the end of 2019.
In early 2020, the App developer, SpeedETab, will release the add feature allowing customers to choose the day and time and (swah-rey) location or pickup. With that added feature, locals will be able to plan their dessert orders ahead of time for special events like birthdays, anniversary orders, large-sized catering orders and weddings.
