The healthful fast-casual restaurant franchise Freshii recently opened its first St. Petersburg location at 10328 Roosevelt Blvd. N.
Founded by Winnipeg native Matthew Corrin 10 years ago, the Toronto-based chain is driven by the mantra "Eat. Energize." It aims to fuel folks on the go with fresh items that include salads, wraps, quinoa and rice bowls, chili, juices and smoothies.
According to Freshii, the mission is to help people live longer and healthier through convenient, affordable food. Breakfast items like burritos and oatmeal are also served, and patrons may customize their own menu items if they choose.
The chain plans to operate locations in 80-plus cities and 15 countries by the end of this year, and its other Florida restaurants are headquartered in Miami and Orlando.
