The St. Petersburg Saturday Morning Market has launched an online marketplace for its stockpile of artisan and farm-fresh foods.

Yes, shoppers who can’t make it to the weekly market at Al Lang Stadium IRL lose out on experiencing the glorious influx of pooches that’re usually in attendance, but now they gain the convenience of placing a web order for the local goods they’ve missed out on — anytime from 3 p.m. Sunday through 8 p.m. Tuesday.

Provided by two organic veggie farmers, two small farmers and other specialty vendors, featured items on the new platform include strawberries, citrus, mushrooms, pastured chicken and eggs, beef, breads, sea salt, and teas and coffees. Spice Routes is set to offer a selection of homemade soups next week, too.

“We will be adding new products each week,” the market said in a news release.

Orders can be picked up between 4 and 7 p.m. on Thursdays either at the Jet Jackson Center (1000 28th St. S.) or downtown (1114 Central Ave.). Come prepared with shopping bags and some form of payment; fruit and veggie vouchers, SNAP/EBT and “prescription cards” are accepted.
