Last week, Kahwa Coffee unveiled the site of its latest expansion effort. The St. Petersburg roaster is headed for Sarasota's Mall at University Town Center.
"We are very excited to announce that Kahwa Coffee is coming to The Mall at University Town Center soon!" reads the July 11 post to Kahwa Coffee's Facebook page. "We can't wait to serve you #goodcoffee while you shop!"
The new Mall at University Town Center cafe marks the second Sarasota outpost for Kahwa, which husband-and-wife duo Raphael and Sarah Perrier founded more than a decade ago. Now operating 10-plus locations throughout Florida, they opened Sarasota's first cafe downtown in late 2015.
Kahwa is known for its specialty cups of coffee and fresh pastries, plus outdoor seating.
