If you see the sake bottles on the porch, know that St. Petersburg “listening bar” In Between Days is open and there’s no need to knock
Florida’s first listening bar opened its doors back in August and has been pleasing audiophiles' ears while keeping them fed ever since. Whether you’re looking for dinner and jazz or cocktails and electronic music, the venue has something for you.
On the menu, according to some diners, are stylish plates including pork bao buns with char siu, served alongside a pickle salad with kohlrabi, carrot and persian cucumber, or japanese milk bread served with honey soy butter.
If you want a drink with dinner, you can choose from the bar’s selection of craft sake or cocktails like the matcha mule or lychee sangria.
And this is place is nothing like any other concept in town.
If you’ve never been to a listening bar, know that the music isn’t live. In Between Days—located at 2340 1st Ave. S—has a collection of vinyl and its own sound hi-fidelity system featuring a vintage pair of Klipsch La Scalas.
The concept’s hours, according to the website, are 5 p.m.(ish)-10 p.m.(ish), and it’s open Wednesday-Saturday. If you want to work there, In Between Days is also hiring.
UPDATED: 09/16/21 1:50 p.m. In Between Days is not hiring anymore.
