When there’s a global pandemic threatening the livelihoods of Tampa Bay’s breweries, we need to make the most out of the wins—enter Mastry’s Brewing Co.’s fourth anniversary on St. Pete Beach.
We know what you’re thinking: Won’t this celebration be crowded? The brewery is spreading out the festivities from Fri.-Sun. Oct. 16-18, giving locals three days to celebrate. To ensure social distancing, guests can take advantage of Mastry’s open-air Biergarten or opt for patio seating.
Want to escape the sun? You can slide into the brewery’s tasting room to get your drink on. Just be sure to bring your mask, and keep your space from fellow patrons.
“One thing for sure is – 2020 has been a crazy year! However, we are thankful to be going strong and ready to celebrate another year in establishment with all of our friends and family!” Matthew Dahm, founder and CEO of Mastry’s Brewing Co., wrote in a release. “Thank you to our loyal customers and newcomers – all are welcome!”
To really pop things off, Mastry’s is hosting a bottle release, selling anniversary T-shirts, and tapping some special limited release kegs. If that’s not enough, beer slushies are also on the menu.
The bottle release features, Juliet, a mixed culture blonde ale fermented in Mastry’s puncheon (a wooden fermentation vessel). For all you craft beer enthusiasts the press release from the brewery details that the beer has been inoculated with a house culture, a Norwegian kveik (yeast), Lactobacillus and Brettanomyces. After fermentation, the beer was transferred to stainless and re-fermented on the skins and juice of fresh raspberries and blackberries. No shame if you needed to Google that brewer lingo.
If you want to get a jump on the custom anniversary shirts and bottle release, both are available for pre-purchase online at shop.mastrysbrewingco.com. By the way, both are in limited supply, so don’t sleep on snagging your shirt size or limited-edition sips.
Need something to keep the buzz going? The Kitchen at Mastry’s Brewing Co., the brewery’s on-site food truck, is slinging eats all weekend long. If you can’t make the anniversary festivities, sling by for Wing It Wednesday, where the truck serves up a $1 wing special or Taco Tuesday hosting two for $5 tacos with your choice of chicken or fish.
Mastry’s Brewing Co. is located at 7701 Blind Pass Road on St. Pete Beach. Hours for the brewery are 2 p.m.-9 p.m. Mon., 2 p.m.-10 p.m. Tues.-Thur., 2 p.m.-midnight Fri., noon-midnight Sat. and noon-8 p.m. Sund.
