All-day breakfast lovers might remember Dome Grill in downtown St. Petersburg, which used to sling cheap breakfast and lunch for almost 25 years before it closed in the summer of 2018. Well, a brand new, multifaceted eatery is taking over the space formerly occupied by Dome Grill now that upscale food court concept Central Park Food Hall has announced plans to open at 561 Central Ave. N.
Although construction hasn’t started, Central Park Food Hall is currently looking for managers for its individual restaurants and food stations, according to its website.
This three-story high food hall is supposed to be “a gastronomic journey the likes of which Tampa Bay has never experienced.”
Tampa Bay’s newest food-hall comes from the brains behind Speaks Clam Bar, a New York-style Italian restaurant with locations in Sarasota and Lakewood Ranch. Speaks announced its first St. Pete location, opening soon inside of the Central Park Food Hall, earlier today on Facebook.
Central Park Food Hall is downtown St. Pete’s third forthcoming food hall concept; Hall on Central announced plans to open at 1246 Central Ave. sometime in 2022, and The Sundial’s food hall transformation will hopefully be finished by the end of this year.
