Although Tampa Bay just got a taste of the Florida State Fair in February, organizers at the fairgrounds want to give foodies a fix with the Fair Food Frenzy until the fair proper comes back around next year.

Beginning today, July 31, and running until Aug.2, and again next weekend from Aug. 7-9, you can head to the Florida State Fairgrounds to grab classic fair dishes from the comfort of your own car. Walk-up windows and picnic tables can also be utilized by diners, but they must adhere to social distancing regulations.

Here’s how it works. You’ll enter the Florida State Fairgrounds via the entrance gate on U.S. Highway-301. You’ll then pop into a drive-thru lane lined with menu boards loaded with items like signature fair turkey legs, corn dogs, caramel apples and funnel cakes. Oh, and deep-fried Oreos are also on the menu for $6. All menu items range from $4-$12 (although it’s $22 for two turkey legs). You can also access the menu on the Florida State Fair website so you can come correct and keep the wait time to a minimum.

No need to hop out of your air conditioned car, either—event staff will approach your vehicle to receive your order, process payment, and then return your order back to your vehicle.

Admission to the Fair Food Frenzy is free. Cashless payments methods are preferred and hand sanitation stations will be available to guests utilizing the walk-up and picnic table area.

The drive-thru runs from 11 a.m.-8 p.m. July 31-August 2, and August 7-9. The Florida State Fairgrounds are located at 4800 U.S.-301 in Tampa.

Don’t forget to wear a mask, people.
