First peas, then no salt (thanks Jeb), then apples, apparently, and now grapefruit? Come on.

Why keep messing with a dip as flawless as guacamole?

That's what Delish should've asked Saved by the Bell star Tiffani Thiessen, whose Cooking Channel show I watch from time to time. But, instead, the online food pub did a write-up on her "late-night snack" — citrus guacamole — featuring a quote that goes a little something like this:

"I grew up in Southern California, where guacamole is a staple, so I made it a little healthier by adding citrus to it," Thiessen told Delish.

As if guacamole didn't already have citrus… or wasn't already pretty healthy…

Traditional guac calls for avocados, sea salt and lime juice, with other formulas incorporating a few extra, normal ingredients, like, you know, tomatoes or onion. Not carrots and sunflower seeds. This has gone far enough, dammit.

We can only hope Trump weighs in on Thiessen's recipe, just as Obama did with the New York Times' green pea guacamole in 2015, as I'm sure you all remember.
