Beginning Tuesday, Mastry's Brewing Co. rewinds for a summer of '69 celebration. Woodstock Week, held during the anniversary of the iconic New York music festival, brings limited-release beers and Woodstock-themed events to the St. Pete Beach craft brewery through Sunday.
Daily tappings are planned throughout the funky, retro Woodstock Week, yes. But an oak-aged farmhouse bottle launch and a kettle-soured Berliner called Murky Murk, with six different fruit treatments, are among the highlights, as are live music, food trucks and a night market.
In addition to furthering its identity as a hub for new neighborhood events like family night and Oktoberfest, Mastry's Brewing — whose one year along Blind Pass Road is creeping up — is working on a number of other small-batch, limited-release beers, including multibrewery collaborations.
"We've become known for our creativity and consistency in the craft beer community. We're willing to take risks and try new things; however, we also have high standards and expectations for quality," said CEO Matthew Dahm in a statement. "It's this same philosophy that we put into our events and community involvement. We're building an atmosphere and experience that matches the passion we put into each of the beers we brew."
