In case you missed it, your favorite Tampa Bay Brewery is still selling beer to-go in the face of the coronavirus pandemic that’s crippled the world’s hospitality industry.
And now your purchase can go even further thanks to a donation from the Redner Family Foundation.
A release says, “Tampa Bay Beer Week is initiating a dollar for dollar sales matching program that will help employees of these businesses in a time of great need.”
At first, 10 breweries and 10 on-premise retailers—for a total of 20 businesses—will be the initial beneficiaries of a single day promotion. Tampa Bay Beer Week (TBBW) will donate a match of all sales up to $1,000 on the designated day for each selected location, according to Chris Fairchild, Executive Director of TBBW, who added that the locations will be announced and promoted on TBBW’s website and social media channels.
“The goal is to encourage customers to pick up food and beer from these establishments. These to go products are still allowed under the current statewide order,” the release said. “Our hope is that these 20 locations are just the beginning. With every $1,000 donated one more location will be assisted. 100% of the donated funds go to these employees.”
TBBW is asking that donation inquiries be sent to info@tbbw.beer. Donations can be anonymous or made public by request. Applications for additional retailer participation can be found at bit.ly/tbbwrelief.
