With Florida schools closed through April 15, many students who depended on a free meal will have to look elsewhere.
Starting next week for a limited time, all Burger King locations around the country will be giving away free kids’ meals to help struggling families dealing with the coronavirus.
According to Bloomberg, the chain will start offering two free kids’ meals with every adult meal purchase either online or through the Burger King app.
“There’s a tremendous impact on children, as a result of all the school closures,” said Jose Cil, the CEO of Burger King parent company Restaurant Brands International to Bloomberg. “It’s one of the hardest hit groups of Americans.”
Florida public school systems are also stepping up, offering free meals for anyone 18 and under, at select locations Mon.-Fri. from March 23-27.
